Silverette: A real solution for cracked, sore nipples.

Silverette and Pendant Redemption Giveaway

In every mommy group I'm in and every circle of predominantly breastfeeding female caregivers I associate myself with I've heard about the products and methods for curing the ever painful, cracked sore, nipple.

Essentially if it's a cream or paste or even the oil stripped from an animal’s fur it's been tried. The problem with these options is that they aim to relieve the symptoms rather than heal and cure the underlying issue.

So what typically is the issue? In a large majority of cases nipple pain begins long before the skin and areola actually become traumatized and is a result of poor latching of baby while feeding. It will always be my first piece of advice that with any abnormalities in a woman's breastfeeding journey that help is sought out and nipple pain is no exception. A good latch is a great long term solution but doesn't always resolve the issue of short term pain. This becomes increasingly evident if the nipple has already been traumatized and has become dry, cracked and is possibly bleeding. In the event this is happening it is likely that bacteria has been introduced to the traumatized area which has the potential to make things a lot less fun.

Silverette has taken a time tested method of treatment for healing and preventative health maintenance and brought it to U.S. for use in the breastfeeding space. They have created small nipple cups made from 925 sterling silver that decrease the healing time of traumatized nipples and prevent them from becoming sore, cracked and bleeding in the future.

The process for using them is so incredibly easy. Simply leave a few drops of milk in each cup after you're finished with a feeding session and place one on each nipple. The milk will create a bit of a cupping glass effect on the breast and will help hold the Silverette in place. The cups do have to be removed before feeding since they are not shields. No other products are needed in conjunction with them. Just wear them between each feeding throughout the day under a bra. They are one size at 2.2" in diameter.

I really want to make sure I take a moment to explain why I'm so on board with this product and why it works.

I am a longtime proponent of the healing properties of silver and all of its wonderful uses. Probably the most convincing space that silver is used in is the medical industry. It is commonly used in wound dressings, creams, and as an antibiotic coating on medical devices. Silver is known to be antibacterial and great at preventing the growth of bacteria.

I could talk about it all day long but I think that visual proof is best. So I did a little experiment.

I had some milk that was thawed and my son decided not to drink. So rather than let it go completely to waste I decided this would be the perfect chance to show you just how effective silver is. Below you will see a small glass jar and a the Silverette both partially filled with breast milk.

This picture was taken 2 days after the milk was poured and had been left at room temp. You can just see that the milk in the glass is just beginning to separate. What is a bit tougher to see but become much more evident later is that the milk in the Silverette  is still very much the way it was when it was poured.

In this video (day 4) you can see pretty clearly now that the milk in the glass is pretty coagulated on the top and the separation process is in full effect while the milk in the Silverette is still very liquidy and has formed just a very thin layer on the top.
Here's whats happening (The boring scienecy stuff); the bacteria is causing the lactose to ferment at room temperature and turn it into lactic acid. The lactic acid changes the ph level of the milk causing the separated cream to spoil and become thick and smelly. The milk in the Silverette is doing the same thing but at a much much slower rate because the silver inhibits the bacteria from growing, slowing the transition of the sugars from lactose to glucose, which in turn creates less acid and boom there you go slower spoilage.

In this video (day 6) you can see that the separation in the glass has a top layer that is very very thick to the point that it barely moves even when tipped on its side. (believe me I really didn't wan't it to spill out as this one smelled terrible, which is also the reason I didn't let the cream curd which it would eventually do). However the milk in the Silverette, while a bit evaporated, is still very liquidy and had almost no smell to it.

The whole purpose in this test was to show the evidence to support the claims that when used to help repair or maintain breastfeeding mothers nipples that Silverette has the ability to keep the damage causing bacteria at bay, just like the bacteria that caused the milk to spoil, and allow healing to happen and help prevent traumatized nipples from becoming infected.

Now one of the coolest things that Silverette does in my opinion is that they give you the option to give your cups a much much longer life than just the breastfeeding experience. After you no longer need your cups, you can return them and they will be transformed into a beautiful sterling silver pendant for you to keep forever. You can even have your pendant engraved and they will pay for the shipping.

If you want to read more about Silverette or purchase your own set you can check out their website. silveretteusa.com  For a limited time, you can use code CRUNCHY to get 15% off your order.

Top 10 tips for supporting your breastfeeding partner.

Breastfeeding and Mother by Miriel Smith

CrunchyDadmom's Top 10 tips for supporting your breastfeeding partner.

We plan and plan for months on end with excitement in anticipation for the arrival of our new little ones.  We decide on everything from where a birth will take place to the theme of a nursery. We talk about what we will name them and how we expect their lives to go. Some of us even plan out their first outfits for newborn pictures.  So how is it that so often we forget to focus some of that energy and thought on how we will nourish them in the early years and what we expect of each other to make that happen?

I have now been the "partner" through 5 and a half years of nursing babies. I have often wished that I had been a better support in the early years. That's not to say that I didn't think that I was supportive but just that my efforts, while well intentioned, didn't always feel to my wife as supportive as I would have hoped. Unfortunately not only is breastfeeding a all too little spoken about and planned for topic but the "how to" on the support side is next to nonexistent. And if you happen to be a partner reading this please take this piece of advice as fact as I promise you that any momma who has been through a breastfeeding journey will agree with it. SUPPORT THROUGH BREASTFEEDING IS EVERYTHING!!!!!

So let's get into it. The "How To" that I wish that I would have had.

1.) It starts before birth.

This is where the journey should really begin and maybe it doesn't the first time. In fact many mothers successful breastfeeding experiences don't actually take place with a first child. However deciding that breastfeeding is what both of you intend to be the means in which your new child will be nourished will put you leaps and bounds ahead. Make it a shared goal. Shared goals are achieved far more often due to a feeling of shared connection which increases motivation and accountability. So make sure you talk about it before you meet your new little squish.

2.) Education can be make or break in the first few days.

Ask any good lactation consultant and they will tell you that new parents and even some experienced parents are shocked when they learn basic things about breastfeeding such as; how much a 1 day old child consumes on average per feeding. (About 1 tsp of colostrum), what colostrum is, how often baby should be nursed, how long baby should eat for, what a good latch looks and sounds like, when moms milk actually comes in, what baby's stomach looks like at day 10. If you have already been a nursing mom, these probably sound simple but to those who haven't. When we have our own uneducated thoughts on how it is "supposed to be" and our reality is different than our expectations we often experience fear and disappointment. So when momma doesn't see her baby with milk running down her face or dad doesn't know that her boobs are functioning but they aren't producing milk like a freaking cow yet and they see the formula bottle that has 2oz in it, they assume that baby is not getting what she needs and that mommas body must not be working right when it might actually be working exactly as it is supposed to be.

3.) Breastfeeding support is not actually about breasts.

This one is really crucial. To really support a mom and her breastfed baby you need to remove yourself from spending too much energy on the baby actually nursing. It is easy to get caught up with worrying if everything is ok with the nursing baby but what would probably be more beneficial to the situation is walking away from her, going to the kitchen cabinet, grabbing a cup, turning on the sink, filling her up a glass of water and bringing it to her. If we are truly supporting moms, then we need to expect feeding baby is one thing she can usually handle on her own and instead be the hands and feet she can't be while she is nursing. If you don't know what she needs, remember, you can always ask her.

4.) Be the filter for her.

In the hours and days after your bundle of love is born you are destine to see eager friends and family who just want to catch a view of you baby. Sometimes they can be very considerate and other times they can be completely clueless. If momma had a hospital birth she is most likely glued to the bed with nowhere to really go even if she wasn't. This means that as these people steadily parade through your room or home it is really on you as the partner to direct and guide them based on how she and baby are feeling. Babies eat very often and a new mom is able to detect signs that baby is hungry pretty quickly so she may want to have some privacy to nurse and the calmness of the room can not be understated in helping baby concentrate. Do not be shy on returning baby to mom or removing people from the room. As well, the first few days mom and baby will need plenty of time together to bond and strengthen their understanding of one another, so nursing becomes more natural to both. If she is anxious about other people holding the baby be sure to help her so she does not to feel obligated to separate herself from baby. It is ok to tell people that they will need to wait until another time to hold the baby, Again asking her what she wants is a great way to make sure that the two of you are on the same page.

5.) She needs Rest Rest Rest.

So usually as the partner your leave of absence from work is much shorter lived than that of momma (which is still usually way too short but a different subject for a different day). This means that your ability to be a physical help is drastically reduced all too soon, so letting her rest as much as possible during that time is super helpful. Let's take a second and list out a few of the many things that have been going on with her to effort to give you some perspective on how much she really needs the rest. She just spent the last 9 months using her body as an incubator for another human being. She then had the giant muscular vessel that held that human crush down and squeeze it out of an area of her body that she never really wanted to be stretched that large to begin with. Then after that human was brought into the world she passed another massive object in the same manner.(If you haven't been through birth before do yourself a favor and google "Placenta" it's basically the unfair second birth she wasn't expecting) When that was finished somebody said to her that they "just needed to check to make sure her uterus was contracting" which is actually a fun way of warning her that they are about to use some torture tactic, that is too drastic for Gitmo, to painfully knead her belly while her contacting uterus continues to hemorrhage. And after is was all said and done and just before she was able to actually catch her breath, the human she just delivered needed her to use every last bit of energy she had to nourish it. So yeah dude, she's tired. Let her sleep, do the dishes, fold the laundry, cook the meals and let her rest.

6.) Learn to "really" bond with your little one.

We know that when mom nurses baby that a very special and unique bond is formed. We desire to experience that same bond but without functioning breast, sometimes we feel that can only be accomplished by feeding baby with a bottle. By holding on to that mindset though, we really limit our capacity to truly and deeply bond with our children and potentially throw a wrench in the breastfeeding process. There are many things that bottle feedings can do to hinder rather than help, such as nipple confusion, changes in flow rate, feeding beyond the capacity of baby stomach, etc.  Being blunt it's kinda selfish too. There are so many ways you can bond with baby that are beneficial to everybody including momma. A few of my favorite include; skin to skin contact, baby wearing, bath time and listening to music and dancing with baby, but there are really no limits to the ways you can connect with baby. Try something simple like burping the baby after nursing. Chances are momma will really appreciate having both hands to herself for a few minutes too.

7.) Have patience

Nursing a baby takes a lot of time and practice and it doesn't always come quickly. It takes most moms about 6 weeks or so to really get into a good rhythm with baby. That is stressful enough for her in and of itself. So don't add stress to the situation by inserting your own expectations. Mom is gonna have the best understanding of how her body is acting and how baby is reacting. If she expresses concern that is one thing and merits a response but if she says shes's ok and baby is happy, just sit back and relax, everything is going exactly as it should.

8.) Help seek out help when things get bumpy.

So let's say she does express concern. Maybe things don't feel right or feel down right painful. Maybe she doesn't feel like baby is getting enough milk or is not latching well. Be the one to seek out additional help. Head online and find a local support group. You can find the nearest La Leche League International group to you. There are free support groups that have meetings and support lines run by experienced mommas throughout the world. Drive her to a meeting. Sometimes just having the knowledge of another momma can be all it takes to make a few adjustments or help diagnose a deeper issue. You could also seek out an independent lactation consultant who could come to your home and offer similar assistance.

9.) You don't know it all, so learn TOGETHER.

Breastfeeding and raising a child is a journey. All the knowledge and studying in the world is quickly trumped by experience. There is a lot of information available online but none as valuable as being in it day in and day out. Please, please, please if issues to arise, do not go online, read an article and then "tell her what to do". You are in this together and if she feels pressured rather than supported, the risk of quitting is easily amplified. Be a team. Learn together, talk. Have discussions about issues, options and possible solutions or seeking assistance. Remember that you're both in this for the same squishy faced, ten toed reason.

10.) Be Proud of her.

This seems so simplistic but can not be understated. Breastfeeding moms ARE superheros. They ARE able to use their bodies to sustain the life of another person for years, Show them some serious appreciation and be proud to be partnered with one of these beautifully self sacrificing individuals. When you are out of the house and she shows off her superpowers do not shame her. Stand proudly by her side and let her know how awesome she is. The world does enough to try and bring her down, so let her know often that she is amazing because, simply put, SHE IS.

So there you are my "How To" that I wish had existed 5 years ago. Now that you have some tools at your disposal, use them. Go battle the issues and celebrate the successes together. We often say in our home that it takes a village. Nobody should have to go it alone and your village starts with you so start your village. Be strong, be brave and be supportive.

If you have any additional tips I would love to read them in the comments below.
Happy Breastfeeding.

It's not a bottle, it's a squeeze.

So then what is a squeeze? Only one of the biggest mess and money savers ever.

I was introduced to the Original Squeeze Company by Mat York during his very first Weekly Chat. From jump I knew that this was a product that could seriously help in my home.

The Original Squeeze is the first reusable, toxin free, 100% silicone pouch that I've ever seen and I love it. I want to touch base on 5 points that really make this product so awesome.

First, the Original Squeeze comes in 3 different sizes, which makes it a perfect product for use by just about any age. The original is available in 2, 4 and 6 ounce sizes and the Sport version is available in up to 8 ounces. To give some comparison on capacity a typical disposable apple sauce pouch is just over 3 ounces while a full sized juice box is just over 6 ounces. The Apple red one in the picture above is the 4 ounce version while the Reef blue is 6 ounces.

Next we get to talk colors. While available color may vary depending on the particular product you order, you can pretty much come up with any color combination your kids can think up. This become especially important when you have kiddos like mine who are super particular about which color anything is or is not theirs. Both the bodies and the ring colors can be customized to fit the likes and personality of the user. I've listed below all of the colors to choose from. BTW I love the names for these colors. They're so much better than Red, Blue, Green, blah, blah, bland.

Pro Tip: Building your own combination of squeeze will net you the biggest selection of available colors.

Next is the secret sauce, if you may, of this product. The spout. This is where I was really interested in testing out the Original Squeeze and is applicable uses. The spout comes in two forms, the original squeeze with spill proof spout and the Eeeze, free flowing, spout.
The spill proof spout is a  cross cut closed spout that requires the user to clamp down a bit to open it up for product to flow out. It is really awesome for keeping messes , especially liquids, to a minimum. It does take a bit for a small child to get used to using it but as soon as they get the first bit of product out it become almost second nature. My five year old took about 10 seconds to figure out how to work it and my 2 year old wasn't far behind that.
The Eeeze free flowing spout, while completely open at the top is actually still quite effective at preventing spills and messes. In fact if anything other than a pure liquid is in the Squeeze it pretty much contains it all without any spills. It also has a few other applications that we will talk about in just a moment. Both of these spouts can be purchased separately as extras or replacements. (But they're quite durable, so probably not replacement).

 Replacement Spouts

Finally we get to talk about some of the fun tests that we did and other possible applications for the Oringinal Squeeze. So initally the entire reason I wanted these was to replace the apple sauce pouches that fill my fridge and empty my bank account. You see, we are a family that is lucky enough to have a giant apple tree in the yard that produces enough to apples to make apple sauce for the entire winter spring and summer each year. Also I have a wife who is skilled enough to turn all of those apples into something even better than the tree can produce itself. So it really hurts my heart every time I see one of the kids slamming a disposable pouch of apple sauce and then tossing the pouch in the trash.

That being said the first thing that entered the squeeze bodies was a freshly opened jar of homemade apple sauce. Now if you've ever made apple sauce you know that it is unlikely that it is going to be nearly as smooth and runny as store bought, so I questioned if it would clog the spout and not be able to flow through. The first spout we tried was the spill proof one and I was a bit discouraged at the difficulty for my 5 year old to get product out but after we swithed the spouts and put the free flowingind Eeeze spout on she was off to the races and happy as a clam. I swear she looked at me and said, "Daddy, I love it"! Talk about product endorsment. Lol. I thought that filling the pouches would be difficult and was very suprised when I was able to quickly and easily spoon fill the 4 ounce pouch with a standard teaspoon (not a measuring teaspoon, a table style teaspoon) in about 20 seconds. A heaping spoon slid right into the neck opening and becuase its made of silicon I could just grip the outside and pull the spoon free from the squeeze body completely cleaned off.

Pro Tip: Remove the plastic ring before filling the bodies to give you maximum flexability of the opening.

The next test we did was one that was suggested during Mat's Live Weekly Chat on his Facebook Page. I love making pancakes using my ultimate pancake recipe. I make them as often as possible, sometimes every day of the week. One thing though is that my kids always want to, using the term lightly, "help" make them. This has never once worked out. Messy product, hot griddle and clumsy motor skills do not add up to a good time in my book. So when it was suggested to use the Original Squeeze for kids pancake making, I had to try.

I filled a 4 ounce squeeze with pancake mix and topped it with the Eeeze spout. I then Let me 2 year old help my make pancakes. She had so much fun. She was able to stand above the griddle and squeeze her little heart out and help daddy make pancakes without the huge mess and a much smaller chance of getting a "kitchen boo boo".

We have also used them for water bottles which pretty much work exactly as you'd expect. The free flow spout makes a nice fountain when squeezed and the spill proof spout keeps the water inside until its in the mouth of the kiddo using it. On a side note, being silicon, they fit in just about any cup holder quite well.

Lastly we need to talk about cleaning. I have only hand washed these as it is so easy I see no other reason to do anything but. The caps and spouts clean nice and easy with a little spray from the sink and if there are any stuck on pieces, a bottle brush works very very well. The bodies being so flexible allow for any size hands to reach any part of the inside for a quick clean and rinse. I have giant hands and something this small I would normally not be able to reach the corners of the inside. A nice little bend of the fingers and BAM clean.

Overall I think The Original Squeeze is Awesome. It is sure to save us tones of money just with the apple sauce alone and with the many other applicable uses I'm sure we will be ordering more in the near future.

Finally, someone did it! Teething Necklaces for Dads.(Giveaway)

My littlest little just recently turned 7 months old and wants to put everything in his mouth. Which for me has meant he either chews on the straps of the carrier, chews on my metal necklace or my least favorite, chews on quite a flamboyant rainbow-centric teether. And while I'm certainly not above rocking the rainbow, it doesn't particularly "set off" my outfit the way I'd like.

So when these daddy inspired teething necklaces from Little Sunshine Boutique arrived in the mail I was absolutely thrilled. Finally I have some teethers that I can wear around and not get completely crazy looks from people when I have long since put my kiddo down but have totally forgotten to take it off.

I want to touch base on a few of my favorite things about these outside of the fact that they look so great.

The length on these necklaces is perfect. One of the biggest issues with the current ones we have is it sure seems like they were meant for momma. When she wears them they fall right to his mouth, when I wear them they just bonk off of his forehead the entire time. As you can see in the picture above these sit nice and low at the perfect height for him to play with them and also bring the to his face to chew on.

The silicone beads used are really really light which I found to be nice in comparison to some other teething products that I've used especially other silicone necklaces.

The breakaway clasp is  perfect in that it breaks away with relative ease but not so easy that my little guy unclasps it while playing with it. It's a nice tight snap and holds well.

The string used dries nice and quick. A problem I've had with other forms of teethers in the past is that after drool effect that leaves my neck slimy and a ring around my shirt collar. For both drool and cleaning purposes it a pretty quick dry with a basic wipe off.

Which brings me to my last point that the beads clean very easily. We have a heavy shedding dog in the house and like I would expect, the beads pick up dog hair every time it hits the ground. A quick rinse under the sinks faucet immediately removes any debris and gets us back to a happy little man with his new favorite toy.
Now lets take a closer look at the items I've received. (Feel free and click on any product to go direct to that product on their site)

First is a super simple but very usable necklace. It has a silicone ring which is my sons favorite part about all of these. In fact I would actually not suggest getting one without it or some sort of a pendant attached. It's a great focal point got the kid to look for and grab onto if they have limited motor skills still. The ring is a nice rich baby/sky blue and a green rounded cube to lock it in place. I find that this one goes well with any brown, blue, purple, green and white shirts.

Next is a black and grey beaded necklace with larger black beads and a medium sized grey bead to both sides of a black silicone ring. It's very light weight to the point you will forget you're wearing it. This one works very well with black, grey, red and white shirts.

The next one is a red and black beaded necklace with large black beads and small red beads. I really like the look of this one however it does not have any sort of pendant so it is not as desirable for my little guy however the next product kind of solves that issue. This one goes will with red, black, grey, and white shirts.
The last product is not actually a necklace but a carrier accessory. It is much smaller around than a necklace and fits very nicely around the strap of both of my SSC's (Ergo and Babyhawk). It has an assortment of colors to be able to match with many different carrier patterns without havinging the "rainbow effect". The black beads really help keep theme with the daddy necklaces while the colors allow for it to be transitioned back and forth between dad and mom. One of the coolest part about this one is that it has a detachable ring that I like to switch off to the above necklace to add a focal point and grab spot for my little.

And last but not least just to show the genuineness of our love and use of these products here is a bunch of photos from around my home and outside of them in use by my little guy wife and myself over the past few days. I sincerely suggest checking out Little Sunshine Boutique to see the whole selection. And for any mommas reading this, Fathers Day is just around the corner. How I got my youngest child to eat from a bottle when the boob wasn't around.

I was recently asked if I had any advice on how to get a 5 month old to drink breast milk from a bottle so that mom could get some time to take care of a few things on occasion.  Fair question. Fortunantly as a dad I have had to exculsivly rely on bottle feedings. My wife is a weekend nurse and works 12 hour shifts, which really means shes gone for about 14 hours a day two days in a row, so bottle feeding are essential for my kiddos.

Now in truth if i had been asked for advice on this with my girls, I wouldn't really have any. My girls took bottles lie champs with ZERO transition issues. It was great! So I was a bit surprised at the initial difficulty of feeding my son via bottle. It took about 3 weeks to really get the hang of it but it would have been much quicker if I had gotten the advice I am about to give.

You would sure think that food is food and if a baby gets hungry that it will eat just for the sake of eating. Well..... not so much. I could not for the life of me get my boy to take a bottle the first weekend my wife was back to work postpartum. My first thought was that maybe he wasn't actually hungry. After going through the "rounds" if you make, you know, diaper change, bouncing, burping attempt, trying to get farts out and carried in the Ergo to induce napping, it became clear that he was hungry and he was not gonna eat from the bottle.

In a bit of a panic at this point, I grabbed another bottle (a Soothie bottle, I was using a Medela) poured the milk in heated it up a bit more and lo and behold he took it. In my mind I figured he must of taken it because he liked the nipple better. Over the rest of the weekend we struggled with the Soothie bottle but got enough food down to keep him fed, but it was by no means easy.

Convinced to have a better weekend next time I started to really watch what he responded well to and what didn't make a difference. Here's the list of things he liked and changed his attitude towards gladly accepting the bottle in order of importance.

1 Heat
2 Skin Contact
3 Nipple Firmness

By far the most important thing to get him to take his boobie juice willingly the temp needed to be right. Now your body temp is right around 97 F so you would think this is sufficient temp to keep them happy but not for this guy. My wife would fresh express and leave me with a bottle to use immediately and he would bauk at it every time. If however I would take the fresh milk and warm it just a bit he downed it all right away. I have found that the optimal temp for my fussy guy to take his bottle with ease is between 115 F and 120 F. Now you don't want to have to stick a thermometer in a bottle every time so here's a nice little tip to use. Tap the nipple on the bottom of your wrist. It should be almost hot but induce absolutely  no pain at all. If you feel any sting period, it is too hot and you should either let it cool by standing or run the bottle under some cold water while swirling (Not Shaking. Never Shake Breast milk) the bottle. Test again until it temp properly. Also if the baby flinches at all when first taking the bottle it is still to hot and you should continue to cool it down. This one thing usually does the trick for getting him to eat though.

Next is skin contact. This sounds a bit odd especially if you're leaving your kiddo with someone whose not particularly close to your family. Let me explain. A baby who is exclusively breastfed is used to having their face jammed against a decent amount of skin while eating, so when they transition to a bottle you can imagine that a rubber nipple just doesn't really compare. Have you ever noticed though that babies love to eat your fingers and knuckles? Why do they do that? Skin contact. As the daddy in this scenario it would be perfectly acceptable to use this to my advantage when feeding him but the way i'm gonna explain should be acceptable for nearly anyone who you would trust to feed your kiddo to use. The nipple of the bottle is not suffiecnt contact but by taking and wrapping your fingers around the base of the nipple you can create a ring of skin to make contact with the little ones face and create that skin to skin sensation that they've come to expect when eating. Check out these pictures to get a better idea of what I mean.

Lastly, nipple firmness. Both my son and my niece seem to do better with a nipple that is not very firm. Typically momma nipples are not very firm while baby is eating and the baby can mold the nipple to the inside of their mouths while eating. If you use a very firm nipple this malleability is greatly reduced. Above I had said that the soothie bottle worked for my son at first. Well he quickly changed his tone when we applied the first two tips and he started to actually eat. We found that he liked the Medela nipples more because they were softer and he could push the nipple tip inward with his tongue and make it pop in and out while he suckles. See the picture to better understand the nipple being pushed inward.

After the second weekend together of bottle feeding with my boy, we were practically champs and at nearly 6 months now I know what works for him and he is a happy bottle eater.

Every kid is gonna be different but I have had similar issues with my niece who is the same age as my son and have had similar success with bottle feeding. Hope this all helps and please leave your own feedback and advice to help this momma.
